Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner has become a staple of the beloved and frequently used products in my makeup library.
I was impressed by the versatility of this liner. Because it is a cake lining, you can use the same product to create very bold, eye-catching lines and softer, smoky lines.
Obviously, the only thing you need to change is your brush strokes and pressure; but the amount of water you add to the brush will also affect the strength. The more saturated the brush, the stronger the color. Another advantage of the cake liner is that it can be used for a long time.
I like navy blue, it is an almost black hue, but has a blue hue that helps brighten the eyes.
This claims to be “anti-transfer”, but I don’t believe it is because it transferred on my fingers, because I rubbed the back of my hand after these samples; it faded but did not stain. At the end of the day, about half of the product I use in the morning is on my eyes, which is enough to make me like it. My favorite part is that it is not creamy and does not gather around my eyes, which is what I hate.
